A red brick, luxury Toronto mansion can be seen behind a sprawling curved driveway. The warm, inviting light glows from inside the home, out the windows and doors. The green is a lush, rich green. Above the grey roof and chimney we see a stunning twilight sky, still with a hint of the warmth of the sunset towards the bottom.

Twilight Photos are more than images to show details. It helps to tell the viewer the feeling. It’s what is magic about the medium. Photography tells facts and creates fiction by allowing a story to spark in the viewer’s mind. Here are three reasons you need twilight photography for your next property:

1. Increase Visual Appeal

A luxury Toronto home's back yard. A twilight blue sky, with purple clouds can be seen overhead. The house is a wam reddish-orange brick, with the warm glow of lights coming from within. The lawn is a well manicure, brilliant green grass. The stone fountain, fire pit and garden area is tranquil and expertly kept.

Let’s be serious, we all judge a book by its cover. I look for a cover that draws my interest, long before I figure out what is written inside. A house is no different. Twilight Photography is simply beautiful. It stands out on social media, it draws attention on MLS for a real estate listing, it draws
the eye in a portfolio–it grabs the attention of the viewer. That is what good photography should do.

2. Imagination

Remember the Little Match Girl looking in the windows and making up stories? Minus the ending (I hope!), that’s a very relatable feeling. You drive through a neighbourhood while on vacation and can imagine what life would be like if you lived there instead. This feeling is the same one we want those looking at our photography to have. The stunning sky, the light allowing you to see just inside the windows–it’s enough to get imaginations running! The more a client imagines themselves in that house, the more likely they are to want to live there and make an offer. Twilights turn properties into personal storybooks.

3. Warmth

One thing everyone wants is to cuddle up to be warm and cozy. We all desire that comfort. Call
it evolution and instinct, or emotional–it drives us. Which is one of the reasons Twilight Photos work. The yellow light that comes through the windows creates an atmosphere of warmth in
the photo. What makes a house into a home? The warmth you feel inside, whether physical
warmth or emotional.
